We must vacate the hall by 10.00 am to allow the next users to set-up for their use. Therefore please feel free to bring snacks or refreshments with you on Tuesday. We will also need everyone’s help and cooperation to clear mats and chairs away afterwards and return the hall to its normal condition before we leave.
Qurbani, or Udhiyah in Arabic, describes the sacrifice of an animal (camel, cow, sheep or goat only) to Allah (SWT) during the period of Eid ul Adha for every family or household that are financially able to do so. The sacrifice has to be made on the first, second or third day of Eid. You can arrange for an animal sacrifice yourself or alternatively make a donation to a charity that will do this on your behalf. We encourage you to make your Qurbani payments online to one of the recognised charities, such as:
Qurbani can also be given to any other worthy cause that specifically takes 'Qurbani' donations or through any established Jamia Masjid such as Stoke Poges Lane Mosque and Masjid Al-Jannah in Slough.
We look forward to seeing many of you on the day of Eid and wish you and your families Eid Mubarak on behalf of all the trustees of Runnymede Muslim Society.
May Allah (Subhanuhu wa Ta-Ala) accept all our humble good deeds and efforts to obey his commandments to us and count us amongst those that he has freed from the fire - Ameen.
